Richard Mille is known for being inspired by successful athletes and sportsmen, so there's no surprise that a timepiece was created in honor of Robert Mancini. A formal football player, turned coach, Mancini has won the Italian championships six times, was voted Player of the Year in the Italian league twice, was twice part of the winning European Cup Winners’ Cup team and also lifted the UEFA Super Cup--how impressive is that? A true gentleman of football, he is the very image of the brand: refined, technically brilliant and creative, which help to birth the RM011-01 Mancini. Equipped with the caliber RMAC1, this timepiece offers an annual calendar, a flyback chronograph with central minutes counter and a dial divided into periods of play. It measures 50.00 x 42.70 x 16.15 mm, inlaid in a 18k rose gold and titanium tonneau-shaped case. It features a sapphire-crystal dial and made in three parts from grade 5 titanium with a water resistance of 5 meters. It is assembled using 20 spline screws, also in grade 5 titanium with black PVD coating which allows precise surface flatness. It includes a rotor with variable geometry, a double barrel system which contributes to the torque stability over a longer period and finished in a green rubber strap.
